We’re looking for outgoing event planners and hosts to run singles events in various cities across Canada!
Being a Single in the City Event Planner is the perfect side business opportunity for entrepreneurs looking to grow something exciting during their free time! This role is all about engaging with your community, building connections, and representing our Toronto-based dating brand with energy, style, and professionalism. You’ll play a key role in planning, promoting, and running singles events like speed dating and mixers.
It’s a dynamic opportunity that combines creativity, networking, and organization, allowing you to build your entrepreneurial skills while enjoying a social, fun-filled side business. If you’re passionate about bringing people together and love the idea of creating memorable experiences, this is the role for you!
Event Planner Duties include:
Finding venues
Booking event dates
Promoting the event within that city using Single in the City provided materials such as posters, postcards, social media, third-party sites, etc. (having access to a large network is a plus but not necessary)
Finding cross-promotional opportunities, sponsors and media within their city to gain exposure for their events.
Hosting their events
Event Hosting Duties include:
Being onsite for events
Running events
Facilitating activities
Potential Candidates must:
- Have some free evenings and weekends to dedicate to promoting and running their events.
- Posess management skills (event organizer)
- Be a great public speaker
- Be outgoing
- Have strong leadership skills
- Have patience
- Be social media savvy
- Have the ability to learn quickly
- Have a neat and well-put-together appearance.
- Event planning experience is a plus
- Have transportation access and live close to the area they are organizing.
